There are quite many things that qualify for this blog, however let me start with my pet itself :-) . These days my major annoyance is that he pokes his nose too much almost everywhere well quite literally. So that means if a door is closed and the AC is on, he would poke his nose and barge in with elan with a high expectation to be pampered and treated with open arms. But the question arising out of the whole situation is who closes the door finally…well let’s keep that a secret.

Another pet peeve of mine these days is travelling in the auto and getting baked in the hot winds under the sun. It is quite a task to travel back home in this weather. Lucky are the people who live at far away places and take the AC metro to travel to work. Though, the noise pollution and the crowd in the metro is another story altogether. But the metro is quite neat and clean and quite convenient mode of transport.

Now that we are shifting to Gurgaon in a few days time, Mumbai has suddenly seem to have lost it’s charm. I went into a comfort zone living here for more than five years not realizing that I will have to leave it one day.

Hoping to the mall next door at the drop of the hat, and going to Breach Candy, Neapansea Road, Bandra, and Dadar had become a regular routine. As a friend of mine remarked, I made it my own way too fast. I have a habit of making things my own. But was it my fault? Don’t know. But I throughly enjoyed it.

I know I will make Gurgaon my own too, more so because I have lived there for a while already. Though I have not yet seen the place/house we would be settling down in, but it is much bigger than the small apartment here. So let’s see.

Sheena Iyengar

Sheena Iyengar

Yesterday, read an article about Sheena Iyengar, who is blind by birth but has come up with a book. The interviewer was asking different types of  questions, but this lady stuck to her stance. An inpiring story I must say. Am looking forward to purchase the book “Art of Choosing”. I simply liked her answer when being asked why did she take up her husband’s name as surname. All she said was that it was a politically correct choice!

For countries, shopping is no big deal… anyone can do it but in India, we

Went to local Big Bazaar (supermarket) today for grocery shopping. I like shopping so I always look forward to it whether it is grocery, clothes, shoes, bags, and so on. But today at BB, a salesman selling Active brand of juices stopped me midway and asked me to taste the juice and provide some feedback. I was a bit annoyed as I was busy looking at apples, oranges, maggi, milk, oil, wheat flour and so on… But politely, I said that I do not wish to taste but if he wishes, I can provide the feedback. A bit relieved, the salesman gave me the feedback form and I had to write my name and phone number. Excitedly, I started to write but he interrupted and told me that madam, you if you give the phone number, you will receive smses from Bipasha Basu(she is a Bollywood celebrity) or someone on her behalf…

Happy Deepawali to everyone…this Diwali has been very special for me because of the fact that it was my daughter’s first Diwali and as we consider her as our little Laxmi it makes the festival even more special…She is the light of our lives and i am having the time of my life with her. Sometimes i feel that this phase of my life is the happiest and this is what i was looking forward to all these years…when she smiles on seeing me, i feel like the most important person in the whole world!! What an awesome feeling it is – to be needed – only a mom can understand it in true sense of the word. I had kept a babysitter for her but recently fired her because i felt it was the right time i should take over as i would be visiting my parents soon and don’t want to feel handicapped then. I am sooo looking forward to visiting my parents after so long. I couldn’t even attend my brother’s marriage due to my pregnancy complications last year and felt very sad at that time. Just went out today to shop a little, felt good as always but having a terrible headache, maybe it was the sun. These days roaming around in Mumbai is not so safe thanks to Mr. Raj Thackery who is taking political advantage of the North Indian and Maharashtrian divide…as if the sinking stock markets were not enough…one has to deal with this stupid situation too…and i have to also deal with my scared dog who doesn’t want to leave my side even for a second because of the fire crackers making his life hell since the last few days…on the movie front i am looking forward to see Fashion by Madhur Bhandarkar, won’t be allowed to see KarZZZ because hubby dear can’t stand Himesh bhai ;) he promptly changes the channel when he appears on the screen with his trademark nasal voice…but i just can’t get over Tandoori Nights, it is too catchy to be ignored…even my daughter likes it when i sing it to her with rolling hands!
