Gruesome murders
Since last week, the news channels in India are flooded by the news of the murder of a fourteen year old Aarushi Talwar. She was the daughter of the a dentist couple who lived in sector 25 of Noida. I was drawn to this news because i was at one time resident of this sector myself and was amazed to see this level of heinous crime being committed in Noida which is developing by leaps and bounds. Maybe it is the result of the development itself!
The murder was committed by slitting the throat and it is surprising that the girl’s cries were not heard by her parents who were probably in the next room itself. Initially the police thought that the murder was committed by their servant Hemraj. But everyone was shocked to find Hemraj’s dead body on the terrace of the apartment! Now after much investigations, police has caught hold of Vishnu, a previous servant of Talwar family. It is believed that Vishnu wanted to get his job back and had a fight with Hemraj and in a fit of rage murdered him. The theory is that most probably the girl had seen Vishnu and that is the reason he murdered her too! Poor girl lost her life at no fault of hers. I am eagerly waiting to hear what the final findings of the case are. I would like to add that the police has shown its utmost incompetence in this case and this is the reason why they are still groping in the dark and the killer is still at large! I am following this case since the very first day and am of the opinion that had they sealed the murder site that day itself, they would have caught hold of the murderer soon enough. But people were allowed to throng the house and the terrace – where Hemraj’s body was found the next day – and thus the fingerprints all got mixed up. Later police collected 22 fingerprints from the site. I suggest that police should start reading mystery novels, rather it should be made compulsory, it will definitely aid them in solving crime mysteries. Hollywood thrillers might also do the trick!
Another case of gruesome murder was reported in Mumbai yesterday! I had to rub my eyes twice when i saw this news on television! How can someone become so cruel and insensitive as to murder someone and then chop the body into 300 pieces. What is happening to people’s mentality? Why so much hatred? Why can’t there be some sanity where hatred is concerned? Can’t things be settled amicably…I mean if the girl was fed up with her former lover, can’t she just leave him alone? These questions have my head spinning…Neeraj Grower, the victim was the production manager in a media company working on Shah Rukh Khan’s famous TV show ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tej Hain’. Maria, the girl in question was a south indian heroine and was supposedly in love with Neeraj. Once the relationship became stale, she started going out with another man, this time a lieutenant in navy, Jerome Mathew. Neeraj, supposedly had come to know of Maria’s new relationship and was obviously against it. So on May 6, 2008 the inevitable happened. Maria along with her new boyfriend stabbed Neeraj to death and then both of them cut his body into 300 pieces like a vegetable!!! In my opinion, both Maria and Mathew should not be given any mercy by the law and should be hanged till death. Then only the soul of Neeraj will have some peace and his family will get some justice.
