Sanjay Dutt is behind the bars for the right reasons. The crime he had committed was not something for which he could have been acquitted. So many people lost their lives during 93 Bombay blasts and he was aware that this was to happen…How can anyone ever defend such a person…Keeping arms in his house for two days and then destroying the evidence is a crime, even a layman understands this. Though he might have tried to change his image through his movies - in which he succeeded to some extent - but the fact remains that no one is above the law. A mason and a millionaire are alike in the eyes of law. Yesterday it was a historical day for Indian judiciary. I was glued to Times Now before the judgment arrived. For a moment even Arnab the host was certain that Sanjay would be let off when the first judgment came…but later things took a drastic turn and went against Dutt.
He has a lot of fan following. People were thinking that he would be let off this time as he has been let off TADA charges. But his destiny thought otherwise and so did justice Kode.
I am sure he would appeal in supreme court but he has to face the music! Poor directors…i heard 40 crores are at stake as many of his movies are still incomplete. I suppose it will also send a right signal to the film industry that anyone who has underworld links should not think himself to be above the law.
