My daughter calls me Mumma now! :-)

After much persuasion, my daughter Eva has started calling me mumma from today. Now her every sentence addressed to me has this beautiful word attached to it which I was longing to hear since she started speaking. So it is, ‘Mumma, where are you?’, ‘Mumma, what are you doing?’ or ‘Mumma, shall we go to toy room?’

Every day is full of surprises and I just couldn’t resist writing this blog in the middle of an exciting cricket match. I just don’t know where she catches words from because her vocabulary is increasing by leaps and bounds even though she still can’t read. Yesterday, I got a pack of story books for her and she started flipping through them. By just watching the pictures, she started telling me the story on her own. It was Goldilocks and the Three Bears and I will never forget that.

A short while ago while watching the news, she saw a picture of a airplane cockpit from which the space was visible. She told us, “Look at that, that is space and it has so many stars in it. Let us count.” Though we laughed it off by saying that we would miss the match if we got to counting stars but it was a real shocker. I just don’t know where she picked it up from. Will have to ask her teachers on the Parent Teacher Meeting this Friday about it.

But whatever it is, i am enjoying being a stay at home mom being with her when she needs me most. My little one has started feeling things too. So if i ignore her she feels bad about it.

Am attaching a precious picture of me and my baby a couple of days after she was born as she turns a little above three making the parents proud.
